Food Photography Tips For Beginners!

July 27, 2017 annabanana 10 Comments

Hey there!

Really excited about this one! As it’s my birthday today, I thought I will treat you all to something special! And if you read my last post here, you will know that I’ve been brewing something for my readers, for a little while now…

Breakfast Scene | Food Photography Tips For Beginners- Bonus Material! Sign up now and receive a mini- series full of handy tips! | via @annabanana.co

I’ve received few requests from you on my Instagram accountΒ and via website, asking for some tips on food photography. And it’s been on my mind for a while, to come up with a series (well, mini- series to start off with, baby steps πŸ˜‰ ) or some sort of reading material, where I can share some of my favourite tips.

So, as of today, if you sign up to my blog, you will receive a mini- series of emails from me (3 to be precise), with some useful tips about food photography for beginners!!! Whoop- whoop & yaaayyy!

If you are already on my list, you will receive a separate email from me shortly, with all the relevant links, which will take you to the content of the mini- course.

There are three lessons, and each one of them looks and explores different subject related to food photography. And the purpose of this mini- course is not so much to teach you how to take a great food pictures (as this subject is much wider, and so much deeper than 3 emails!). But my intention is to tell you how to make your food photos stand out a bit more, how to ‘jazz’ them up a bit, add an interesting spin to them.

However, as mentioned before, I do not exclude creating a series in the future, with much more technical detail and practical knowledge! Watch this space…

So nothing that major to start with, 3 emails, over 3 days. But they are packed with some useful information (or I would like to think so!) and advice. I would like to share more handy tips and tricks with you, about everything that I have learned on my journey so far, and this series is just the beginning. A start to many more to follow, but you have to excuse me, while I take my time to master the Mailchimp and tons of other technical stuff, before I can deliver them to you. But I know you guys are awesome and very understanding, and it will be worth a wait!

So stay tuned and sign up now, to be the first to know when the next one is being released! I’m also planning to start some fun and creative challenges on my Instagram later this year, so again, if you want to stay in the loop, you know what you have to do!

And just in case if any of you are worried about being spammed- don’t be! I have no intentions of doing so, and I promise I will only email you, when there are some exciting news or recipes to share! Also, it goes without the saying, but I will say it anyway, I will never share your information with anyone else! You are safe with me!

I hope you are ready to jump on board!

Talk soon! X

Kimberly, you have no idea how much your support means to me!
It’s been a hell of a rollercoaster these last few months, but I hope it’s all gonna come together in the near future!
The ideas have been inspired by one of the great teachers I’ve had a chance to learn from, and that is YOU! So thank you! Hope to tell you all about it one day!
Hope you’re having a blast on your trip, re-discovering your roots! Xxx

Hah! Thanks so much! That’s so sweet of you to say Agness, although I’m not sure will it help with marathon photos ????

Wow! What a visual treat to see the photos of fresh fruits and vegetables. The photos posted above are the proof for the skills of a food photographer. Wish I take such photos in my future. The post above helped me improve my photography skills and inspired me to click food items and make them look more tempting than in reality.

  • #Ad I've never been too keen on going out on Valentine's but this year, with @waitroseandpartners Β£20 dinner for two, I have even more reasons to stay in 😍
There are meat, vegetarian and vegan options available, and you get to choose a starter (we went for mushroom arancini), a main (beetroot wellingtons), two sides (seasoned Charlotte potatoes and salad), dessert and bottle of wine or box of chocolates (wine for us 😁🍷). True feast for you and your love πŸ’•

This year, I will be treating myself and my family to these utterly delicious stacks filled with irresistible chocolate spreads and fresh berries. They were all gone in seconds, last time I’ve made them, which is always a good sign, right? πŸ˜‰
First one is filled with the Malteasers spread with crispy honeycombed pieces (Jon’s favourite) and the second one is the Crispy M&M chocolate hazelnut flavoured spread with coloured crispy balls (my fav). Which one would you choose?

  • My day in a nutshell (so far): got woken up at 3 AM by wheelie bins and bottles happily dancing in the wind outside. Went to see the dentists for the third time this week. Came back, shoot a client campaign. Stubbed my toe. Tried to send the campaign to the client, discovered there’s no internet. Spent the last couple of hours plugging and unplugging the router only to discover the whole village has been cut off... and the day is not over yet!
Thank eff it’s almost Friday! πŸ˜†
