Chocolate and maca ice cream

Chocolate ice cream

  • 3 large bananas (frozen)
  • 2 tbsp raw cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tbsp maca powder (optional)
  • 2 large medjool dates (pitted)
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup (optional)

Chocolate sauce:

  • 2 tbsp raw cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (melted and cooled)
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup (maple or date syrup will also work)


  1. In a small pan, on a very low heat, melt your coconut oil, then add cocoa, then at the end add agave syrup, make sure to keep stirring constantly until texture is smooth
  2. Blend all the ingredients for your ice cream in a food processor
  3. Decorate using your choice of fruit and nuts/ seeds and drizzle with chocolate sauce
  4. Enjoy!

Use your favourite seeds, nuts and fruits as toppings.
