Corn on the cob with chilli butter

Super easy recipe for everyone's favourite- corn on the cob with spicy chilli butter. You can make it on BBQ, roast it or simply boil it!

  • 3 large corn cobs
  • 50 g butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp dried chilli flakes (you can also use harissa instead)


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200C (180 fan). Remove the husk and silk from your corn.

  2. Mash together the butter and chilli flakes until smooth. Using a pastry brush, brush a thin layer of the chilli butter onto each corn cob. 

  3. Wrap each corn cob in aluminium foil and bake for about 35 minutes, until tender. Remove from the oven and serve, allowing everyone to butter their own.

Recipe Notes

If you using barbecuing method, follow the exact same steps, but make sure you keep turning the cobs every now and then, to ensure it cooks equally.
