Most of the recipes that you will find here are meat- free, vegetarian and vegan.
Why on earth did I start this blog? Because I love food!!! Also, because I enjoy taking pictures of my food (probably a bit too much!), and I love styling food (slowly developing the addiction of hoarding props…) And also to show to some peeps out there, that it’s possible to at least reduce the amount of animal products consumed by us, and still enjoy great tasting food and remain healthy balance.
For a very long time I’ve been oblivious to what goes into the food I eat. And then I’ve started my Instagram page, with the only intention of showing to some of my friends the fruit of my labor, cakes and cookies that is. Very quickly I’ve started coming across more and more healthier options of what I was creating (less sugar, less fat, healthier substitutes), until eventually I’ve become addicted to all things plant based and vegan. Although, I’m not 100% vegan, most of my diet includes meat and dairy free ingredients, however, occasionally I would use eggs, cheese or honey.
When it comes to calories…well, I couldn’t care less about them! My motto is ‘count moments not calories’, life is too short to worry about numbers. I’m trying to stay active as much as I can, doing variety of exercises and activities, but it’s not always going as well as I intended.
I guess it’s called the balance (you know what they say, some days you exercise and eat healthy, some days you just wanna wear your comfy pants and stay on the sofa), and I’m not going to punish myself for missing my date with the rowing machine or set of dumbbells.
