Hello & welcome!
My name is Anna, and I couldn’t be happier to see you here!
I was born and raised in small town in Poland, surrounded by lakes, woods and unforgettable countryside. And since 2003, I have been discovering the beauty of English countryside, as I moved to the UK.
Growing up, I was always surrounded by delicious, honest and homemade food. Passion for good food runs in my family for generations, and we do love to feed others!
Few years ago I was battling with some personal issues, and my head was just not in the right place. Slowly, I discovered my love for baking and cooking, as well as food photography. It was my escape and my therapy (who knew kneading the dough can be so satisfying?!?), and it still is, to this day.
I created this blog as an outlet to express all three of these passions. Back then, I was working in the office, in the corporate accountancy environment, managing a team of lovely people. My body was there, but my spirit was long gone. Staring at the spreadsheets all day long and doing the same thing day in and day out was just killing me slowly. So in September 2017 I took the plunge and made a decision to quit and make food photography and blogging my full-time job. It was the best decision of my life!
When I’m not busy baking in the kitchen, I enjoy discovering new places, especially around English countryside. I love spending time outdoors, it relaxes me and makes me feel alive. I’m a keen wannabe gardener, hiker, book reader, Netflix binger and meme addict. Other than that, I enjoy drinking wine with my friends and testing my body’s limits at Body Pump (it’s all about balance, right?).
