January is almost overrr!!! Can you believe, that it's been over a month now since Christmas? And are you also noticing that days are starting to get longer? Well, I did, and let me tell ya, it makes me super happy!!!
So today's post is about simple, quick and nutritious blueberry and oat smoothie, which will set you up for the great start of the day. Great start of the day = great day = happy you! And we all know, that the best thing about smoothies is how quickly they can be done. If you are pushed for time, this blueberry and oat smoothie is your guy. Because all you need is 5 minutes and a handful of ingredients.
Juicy, sweet blueberries (you can use frozen ones too), banana (again, can be fresh or frozen) and oats. It doesn't get easier than this. Just blend everything together with your choice of plant- based milk, and you are good to go. Add dash of cinnamon or vanilla and wake up those taste buds! Classic breakfast smoothie at your service.

Blueberry and Oat Breakfast Smoothie
- Handful of porridge oats
- 1 banana
- 2 large handfuls of blueberries
- 4 tbsp coconut yogurt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp maple syrup optional
- Blend porridge oats with a splash of water.
- Add blueberries, banana and yogurt and whizz together. Add cinnamon and maple syrup and whizz some more.
Please note that all my recipes are developed and tested in metric grams. I recommend that you use digital scales for a more accurate results. I have provided a conversion to US customary in the recipe but please note that I haven’t tested using this method.
